AMAZON FASHION
| A cross between comfy and sporty |
| Yes momma has some rolls 😂 |
I never thought I’d be shopping on Amazon for clothes. Last year I bought one of my favorite bathing suits from there and I’ve been hooked ever since. They have so many styles of clothes that are fitting for every one and of every body type and very inexpensive. I recently purchased this dress and I love it. It’s comfortable and true to size! I was surprised at how well it fits me! I’m not sure if this dress is meant to be versatile but I’ve worn this it 2 different ways. First set of pics I wore this dress to a BBQ. It’s light, comfy, sporty and of course summery. I would also wear this with some biker shorts underneath and some sneakers for a different look. 2nd set of pics I decided to style the dress differently. I tied a small knot and wore ripped jeans for a more “stylish” look and off to a brunch date with my friends I went. Stylish, a lil edgie yet comfortable. This dress comes in several different colors, I might buy another one, maybe red. If you haven't shopped for clothes on AMAZON I suggest you give it a try.

Comfy Vibes
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Mine was spent with family, we celebrated my mother –in-laws birthday, it was a small / intimate gathering. I kept my outfit very comfortable since the gathering was at my in-laws house. I wore joggers with a matching long cardigan from New York and Company. I wrapped my new Old Navy scarf around me and I was comfy, cozy and warm. If you follow me on INSTAGRAM then you’ve seen me wear this scarf several times, it’s my new favorite, it will definitely get many uses this season.
As usual thank you for reading and please tell me what you did this weekend. Anything fun / interesting?

Good News
Yesterday called for a few glasses of champagne in lieu of celebrating good news!
Monday the Mr had an appointment with his oncologist and he received good test/scan results AND yesterday he had an appointment with his lung doctor whom said he no longer needs to follow up with him - YAY. It’s been a rough couple of weeks!!! He had 3 lung procedures in a span of 2 weeks, we spent a total of 10 days at the hospital. It hasn’t been easy but he’s a fighter! He’s still recovering but everyday he feels better / it gets a little easier. Hopefully no more hospital stays for a long long looooong time!
As for me, if you read my last post you’ll know that I had an abnormal mammogram. I went for my 2nd mammo to confirm that there is indeed something on my left breast and there is! Next step is biopsy!!! I’m not looking forward to that painful process but early detection is best so I have no choice but to put my fear aside and get it done! It’s scary but I’m hopeful!
Most of you know the Mr has become quite the fashionista! He needs to start his very own fashion blog - ha ha ha!

Labor Day 2018
Happy End of Summer!
I hope everyone had a great day. What did you do? I originally had no plans today but at the last minute we decided to catch a movie followed by dinner. It was a good choice because honestly it was way too hot to do anything out doors but it would have been a waste of a day to stay home. Afterwards we went home, unfortunately I have to work tomorrow so I couldn't hang, I was also a bit tired.
Over all it was a good day! Now I patiently wait for cooler days - sweater weather.
Normally I do not wear shorts but being that it was 91 degrees I decided to ditch the long pants. Now, the thing about this hot weather is that I tend to get swollen. You can probably tell, my sandals look a little snug. With that being said I wore them for the first time today. I though they were going to be much more comfy but swollen feet and new sandals aren't a good mix. Initially upon trying them on I thought they were very comfortable but then after walking outside with them I noticed they slip off and they irritate my big toe. I guess I have to break them in but I could of easily gone up a 1/2 size bigger. I have another pair in Tan but after wearing these white ones today I decided that I'm going to return them. I've been contemplating on getting the Hermes Oran sandals but after reading the reviews I could not justify paying so much for an uncomfortable sandal so instead I settled for the dupe which were on sale. I really do like this sandal so I'm hoping they stretch a bit because I really want to take them on my next vacation, coming up very soon so be on the look out for that. Anywho, it is way after midnight so to bed I go.

End Of Summer
Happy September!! Who else is excited about Fall?
On another note I changed my social medias name to reflect this blog. I used Sasse142 for so many years, I thought about it long and hard and decided Sasse142 isn't who I am anymore. I came up with that name while sitting on the toilet ha ha. I needed an AOL screen name and that's what I came up with, Sass E (e for Erika) 142 (the street I lived on). I haven't lived on that street in over 22 yrs! I changed everything to (or tried at least) NYCLifeandGlam. After doing so it felt right, it was meant to be - I'm happy.
So, if you noticed from my pictures I beautified myself for my sister's birthday dinner. Dinner with a burlesque show and it was fun, I loved it, I mean who doesn't love a good Burlesque show, so classy. It's been a while since I put on lashes or a full face of makeup for that matter. The lashes made this simple look a bit more dramatic! I swear if I had the time to put lashes on every day I would! I love the way they make my eyes look not to mention I feel sexy. I took the time to use some new FENTY BEAUTY items I bought a while back. Huge rave for the Killawatt highlighter tho, I used it on my lids and it gave me the perfect amount of glitter 2 thumbs up for sure. I'm loving Fenty Beauty products so far! I will list all products below.
I apologize for the poor quality photos. They were taken with my {very} old iphone. I had no intentions whatsoever to have a "photo shoot". The night was perfect and I just decided to go for it.

Flowy Florals
I need my nieces around more often!! Hanging out with them usually turns into a photo shoot, me being the photographer but today was my turn to be in front of the lens. When my niece asked if I wanted her to take pics of me I jumped on the opportunity. I wish I had my camera but an iPhone had to do. I wish I could blog more about fashion and my outfits of the day but its hard. Kudos to my fellow bloggers who get it done on a daily basis, you truly inspire me. Hiring my nieces is looking like a good idea at this point. Photographer for hire! Anyone? Ha!!
I love the versatility of kimonos, I decided to wear jeans but it would look great with shorts or as a bathing suit cover up. This outfit was super comfy yet feminine and stylish. I usually try to keep it very simple but I'm happy with how this look turned out.
