Mini Lux Haul

Hola friends,

In my last post I mentioned that I went shopping in Madrid. I figured I'd share what I got because a few people asked. Let me just say

41st BIRTHDAY

THANK YOU to all that reached out to send me birthday wishes!  XOXO 😘

My day started with breakfast in bed which I was very grateful for.  Later he demanded that I go into the office to get him his laptop.  When I opened the door there were balloons and a gift on my desk, I was surprised 😀.  The only thing I really wanted was balloons lol, why, I don't know but that's all I asked for.  I didn't even know he got them so yeah I was very surprised, everything else was the cherry on top.  In the evening he took me to see King Kong on broadway.  OMG I've seen several shows but the special FX on this show was the best by far. AMAZING!  Go see it if you haven't!!!  Afterwards, we went to Victor's Cafe which conveniently was around the corner from the theater.  It's a nice cuban restaurant and we try to go when we're in the area.  Actually we were there 2 years ago for my birthday and if I remember correctly I wrote about it.

I honestly could not have asked for a better day.  It was nice and chill.  I think as you get older and when you're in the situation I'm in turning up just isn't important.  I'm happy with minimal and I've learned to appreciate the small things, I just don't take anything for granted.  I'm especially grateful to have shared my birthday with the hubby.  If you don't know why please see last years post - My 40th Birthday.  Having him around is a true blessing, I would have been extremely happy had I spent my day at home with him watching tv.  He wouldn't allow that tho, he said he has to "make it up" to me.  Silly him!  If he only knew that he already made it up by being here, with me.

Comfy Vibes

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  Mine was spent with family, we celebrated my mother –in-laws birthday, it was a small / intimate gathering.  I kept my outfit very comfortable since the gathering was at my in-laws house.  I wore joggers with a matching long cardigan from New York and Company.  I wrapped my new Old Navy scarf around me and I was comfy, cozy and warm.  If you follow me on INSTAGRAM then you’ve seen me wear this scarf several times, it’s my new favorite, it will definitely get many uses this season.

Louis Vuitton Agenda

Hello lovelies!!!

Today I received the last of my item's for my agenda and while taking out the old and inserting the new I decided to write about it - review.

I purchased my agenda (Louis Vuitton small ring agenda) October 2016 from Fashionphile and I  started to use it January 2017.  I have several LV canvas items in both damier ebene and monogram print but this agenda is my first epi leather item and well I'm not completely impressed with it.  In my opinion this type of leather feels like CHEAP plastic.  Epi leather is pricier than the canvas monogram and ebene print so I really was not expecting for it to feel "cheap".  Also, I hear epi tends to peel but I've taken good care of my agenda so as of now I have not had that issue.  The size is perfect for carrying around daily (my wallet is bigger), I use it as a wallet some times.  This fits in my smaller purses perfectly!  Now, since it is very small that means the inserts are small as well so if you love to write a ton then this is where you may have some limitations.  I love to write a ton so I had difficulties adjusting at first but I made it work for me by buying extra inserts.  I use the monthly view insert for bills only and the weekly to write appointments, to do lists etc. 

Overall, I have been enjoying this planner!  Like I said its small and easy to carry around.  Very practical, for me at least but I must say I do miss the versatility of a bigger agenda.  The writing space and the ability to use stickers to make it pretty.  Prior to buying this agenda I was an Erin Condren girl, major difference between the two.  I currently have 2 LV agendas on my wishlist.  I'm torn between buying the medium size LV agenda in the monogram print but then I have to consider weight when carrying around in my purse.  Also, I've been considering selling my agenda and buying another small one but getting either the mono or damier ebene print.  Decisions decisions.

Delightful

It was such a beautiful day on (2/18/17) - spring like weather.  Something about nice weather that gives me that extra pep in my step.  I went to my nieces 7th birthday party so it was a super casual day for me out.  Anywho, I decided to take out my brand new LV Delightful.  I'm already in love with this bag.  I love how mushy (poor choice of words) this bag / canvas is, it is exactly what I wanted.  I may actually like it more than my LV Damier Ebene Neverfull MM bag.  2 different bags and yes I'm aware they serve different purposes but that bag is currently my everyday favorite at the moment!!  I traded my old LE Ikat Neverfull GM due to manufacturing issues.  At first I couldn't decide which replacement bag to get but I'm so happy with this choice.  I used my Neverfull GM mainly for travel but I think I can fit just as much in this new bag.  I still plan on purchasing a Neverfull GM because it is perfect for carryon / travel but for now my Delightfull is indeed a delight. 

NOTE:  For those who currently own a Neverfull bag from the Ikat collection be aware that Louis Vuitton will either offer you an exchange or credit for the bag.  Some stores will try to repair but for most the melting of the handle's glazing is not repairable.  Please contact your SA / LV store for further info.

I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE LEATHER TO PATINA AND DEVELOP ITS OWN CHARACTER :-)

Christmas Party 2015

Heeeey Everyone!!

This year I'm not feeling festive but I decided to go to my job's holiday party.  Yes I did have fun as usual!  A lot actually lol.  

Here are a few pictures of my makeup and outfit!  I kept it simple and comfortable!

EYES:  I used a combo of Urban Decay's NAKED PALETTE 1, 2 and basics. MAC black track gel liner and eyelashes are from KISS in Ritzy.  Anastasia Brow powder in Ebony.

FACE:  MAC studio sculpt concealer (unfortunately MAC decided to discontinue this product). Kat Von D pounder foundation, MAC Fix + spray.  MAC blush in Blush Baby.  TheBalm highlighter in Mary-Lou Manizer.

LIPS:  MAC chrome glass (discontinued) in Uber Peach. 

CLOTHES:  Dress is from NY&C, LV shawl, black shoes (not pictured) Enzo Angiolini and Wool coat by Jones New York.
