GOOD NYC DAYS

What a gorgeous weekend we had.  I hope every one of you had a blessed one – I definitely did.  I’m trying to make the best of my days, before the cold arrives.  Saturday I had a dentist appointment, I hate the dentist but we all know how important it is so I’m in there every 3 months for my deep cleanings.  Oh I had

AMAZON FASHION

A cross between comfy and sporty

Yes momma has some rolls 😂

I never thought I’d be shopping on Amazon for clothes. Last year I bought one of my favorite bathing suits from there and I’ve been hooked ever since. They have so many styles of clothes that are fitting for every one and of every body type and very inexpensive.  I recently purchased this dress and I love it. It’s comfortable and true to size!  I was surprised at how well it fits me! I’m not sure if this dress is meant to be versatile but I’ve worn this it 2 different ways.  First set of pics I wore this dress to a BBQ.  It’s light, comfy, sporty and of course summery.  I would also wear this with some biker shorts underneath and some sneakers for a different look.  2nd set of pics I decided to style the dress differently.  I tied a small knot and wore ripped jeans for a more “stylish” look and off to a brunch date with my friends I went.  Stylish, a lil edgie yet comfortable.  This dress comes in several different colors, I might buy another one, maybe red.  If you haven't shopped for clothes on AMAZON I suggest you give it a try.

July Favorites 2018

Guess who's home - sick day?
*raises hand*

I haven't been feeling well so I decided to stay home, As I sip my tea I'm thinking to myself "wow, its August already?  Damn!".  But then again we say this all the time - right?!

While I was in bed it hit me that today would be a good day to post about some of my current favorites.  I'm trying to slowly get back into the swing of things.  I've been trying new products and reusing some old loves.  Here is a small list of what I've been using and loving.

Super Stay Matte Ink really is "super stay".  Literally does not come off unless I use an oil based makeup remover.  It does tend to feel a bit sticky but trust me when I say it does not come off it really doesn't!  Great for a dinner date or a major make out session - ha ha ha!!!  My favorite color is Lover which is a pink berry color but all of them are pretty

Gold Bond Neck & Chest Firming Cream was recommended to me by my mother in-law.  I use it every morning and some nights.  Being a person that loves the sun I am starting to get some wrinkles on my chest area.  Ugh, sun damage at its best.  Surprisingly this cream has smoothed those wrinkles.  I was very skeptical because I have tried some other pricier creams and sadly they did not work.  Give this a try and for $10 you really can't go wrong!

Ok, ok, I splurged on a body scrub by ELEMIS!!!  Normally I make my own scrub with ground coffee and coconut oil and although I do love it I decided I wanted something a little more course.  This scrub was used on me while on my last cruise and I instantly fell in love with how it made my skin feel.  At first I thought "ouch this is rough", it actually hurt a little.  I had to tell the lady to take it easy BUT when I jumped in the shower my skin felt AMAAAAZING.  Not only did my skin feel soft but it was glowing for days!  I'm not sure where you can get this product but I always see it on my cruises and occasionally on QVC.

Laura Mercier's almond coconut milk souffle screams summer!!  Every time I wear this I get tons of compliments, mind you I only wear the lotion nothing else.  If you love coconut scents then this is a must.  I took this with me on my last cruise and left my perfume home.  You really don't need to wear any other fragrances when wearing this.  It is long lasting and it makes your skin feel silky smooth.

This is an oldie but a goodie - Vaseline Intensive Care Oil!  I've used this for years!  This is another product that leaves your skin glowing without leaving you oily.  I love to apply this right after my shower while my skin is still damp.

I promised myself not to buy anymore perfumes until I finish some of my older ones.  Well not only did I finish 1 but 3 perfumes - ha ha.  Nashi Blossom by Jo Malone is fresh and crisp.  This is right up there with all of my favorite summer fragrances.  This is a limited Edition so if you can still get your hands on it definitely do so.  You won't regret it - I promise!

Lastly, a fashion item!!  Yes, they are pricey.  Yes, I'm sure you can get a cheaper alternative else where.  Trust me I've heard it all!!  Still love my Tieks tho!  I will admit tho, at first they weren't as comfy, they do require some break in time but trust me once they do it will feel like you're walking on clouds.

What are your current favorites?  Share them with me!

As usual, THANK YOU for taking the time to stop by.  Have a great day!

Louis Vuitton Agenda

Hello lovelies!!!

Today I received the last of my item's for my agenda and while taking out the old and inserting the new I decided to write about it - review.

I purchased my agenda (Louis Vuitton small ring agenda) October 2016 from Fashionphile and I  started to use it January 2017.  I have several LV canvas items in both damier ebene and monogram print but this agenda is my first epi leather item and well I'm not completely impressed with it.  In my opinion this type of leather feels like CHEAP plastic.  Epi leather is pricier than the canvas monogram and ebene print so I really was not expecting for it to feel "cheap".  Also, I hear epi tends to peel but I've taken good care of my agenda so as of now I have not had that issue.  The size is perfect for carrying around daily (my wallet is bigger), I use it as a wallet some times.  This fits in my smaller purses perfectly!  Now, since it is very small that means the inserts are small as well so if you love to write a ton then this is where you may have some limitations.  I love to write a ton so I had difficulties adjusting at first but I made it work for me by buying extra inserts.  I use the monthly view insert for bills only and the weekly to write appointments, to do lists etc.

Overall, I have been enjoying this planner!  Like I said its small and easy to carry around.  Very practical, for me at least but I must say I do miss the versatility of a bigger agenda.  The writing space and the ability to use stickers to make it pretty.  Prior to buying this agenda I was an Erin Condren girl, major difference between the two.  I currently have 2 LV agendas on my wishlist.  I'm torn between buying the medium size LV agenda in the monogram print but then I have to consider weight when carrying around in my purse.  Also, I've been considering selling my agenda and buying another small one but getting either the mono or damier ebene print.  Decisions decisions.

Vacation 2017

**pictures taken by me**
So, a couple of weeks ago I went on a much needed vacation.  This year we decided on a cruise and it was tons of fun.  We decided to cruise with Carnival (Sunshine) which embarked out of Manhattan.  There's always something do, there's always a party somewhere, you can go to the spa and get a massage or 2 or 3 like I did lol, there's always a show, games or some type of entertainment some where on the ship (my favorite was the comedy show).  Trust me, if you're bored its because you choose to be.

Do your research upon choosing a cruise line, each one is different.  Carnival (in my opinion) gears towards families and yes I have to say it is a party boat, great for the younger crowd.  Other cruise lines do not offer as much entertainment (they're fun nonetheless) and are not as kid friendly so keep that in mind.

Also, cruises offer so much that not many people are aware of.  Did you know that on the first night of embarkation if you reserve with the steak house you get a complimentary bottle of wine, red or white.  Yasssss gurrrrrl!!!  I mean who doesn't love a free bottle of liquor.

If you're celebrating an occasion let them know.  Your room steward may leave you a nice surprise.

I will assume not many people know or take advantage of Sea Day Brunch.  We never had breakfast at the buffet.  On port days we ordered room service and during sea days we had sea day brunch.  We usually woke up late and headed to the dinning room and had a nice sit down, quiet breakfast.  It was always empty which was nice, the lines at the buffet were cray cray.  I just don't have the patience for that.  The brunch menu was so good!  I of course had to order the French toast encrusted with cereal.  Hella sweet but hella yummy!

Here are my personal tips:
1.  Luggage tags:  They sell them on amazon but I bought mine from the container store for $5.99.  I didn't go for anything fancy but it did the job.  I saw so many people just staple their luggage ticket onto their bag, I even saw someone wrap their ticket in a zip lock and hang it from their suitcase.  Not only is it messy looking but it is NOT secure.

2.  Magnets:  I put a magnet on the wall near the door so that I can hang my lanyard and other odds and ends.  Oh, I also put a magnet in the bathroom for my shower cap, you can use it to hang your loofah or anything else you wish.  amazon

3.  Folding hamper:  I always travel with a hamper.  I mean you have to put your dirty clothes something where.  Again, just leaving my clothes around is NOT an option.  I pack my dirty clothes separately if I don't wash it while on vacay.  I bought mine at amazon.

4.  Tuck your luggage underneath your bed.  Staterooms / cabins are small so the less you have in your way the better.  I prefer underneather the bed instead of leaving them out or stuffing them in the closet.

5.  Save room in your luggage by leaving out bulky towels, if you're comfortable using towels other than your own.  I personally do not use hotel towels so yes I packed my own but I left out my beach towel and used the pool towels provided to us.

6.  Do not buy motion sickness medications.  If you visit the clinic on board you'll get it for free.

7.  Clorax / Lysol wipes:  Yes I wiped everything in my room.  Handles, sink, toilet etc.  Not necessary but it's just something I do cause momma don't have time to get sick while on vacation.  amazon

8.  Towel buddies:  If you wish or if you have kids don't be afraid to let your steward know not to take the cute towel buddies away.  My steward took one and I was sad, yes the little girl in me was actually disappointed so I called him and asked him to please leave them all in my room and so he did.  He even repurposed them on the last night.  I decorated with them lol...

I'm going to end it here because I can write forever.  If you have any questions please ask!  I'm sure I left something out lol.  I provided links to everything I bought hopefully it helps you.
