Merry Christmas 2019

Hope you had a fabulous, peaceful, restful and overall blessed holiday.  As for me, it started out rough!  This is the time of year when all I can think about are my parents (which are no longer around if you're new here) and if you've been with me for a while then you've probably seen that I've written about how rough the holidays are for me but every year I try my hardest to change that.  I've grown to really hate Christmas but again, that's changing.  I also have to credit the hubs for changing my outlook, he tries hard to really make me enjoy the holidays, he encourages me to decorate and go to holiday events, he convinces me that we are here and therefore should really live and enjoy it.  This morning I woke up with a facebook memory and it took me back to how sick the hubs was 2 yrs ago and how much he's turned around.  I'm grateful and beyond blessed to still have him around.  That is reason enough to want to enjoy the holidays.

As for decorating I went a little crazy, I really wanted to post pictures but really haven't gotten around to picking up my camera but if you follow me on INSTAGRAM then you've gotten a glimpse.  I'm proud of it all, I LOVE LOVE decorating, always have.  Anywo, today is Christmas and I spent it home, sleeping and waking up only to eat and squeeze in this post.  Lazy Christmas for sure and I'm enjoying it.  Yesterday I worked, came home took a nap then got ready to see the Rockettes.  Great show we really enjoyed it, we then went to see the tree at Rockefeller Center.  It was pretty and being that it was Christmas Eve most restaurants closed early so we walked to Times Square ( I had heels on, my poor feet 😩).  We ate at my favorite ghetto fab place - BBQs lol.  Doesn't take much to make me happy, I was and so was my belly.  We then took an Uber home, took some pictures and fell asleep soon after.  Overall it was a good holiday and I couldn't ask for more.  Now to get ready and mentally prepare for New Year's Eve.  It's going to be an emotional one for sure...

MERRY CHRISTMAS
